WSD was recently named a 2011 Trade Pro Alliance Annual Recognition Program Winner by Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E). PG&E is the utility company providing natural gas and electricity to Northern California customers. This award program specifically recognizes Trade Pros who deliver the greatest amount of kW, kWh or Therm savings through PG&E’s 2011 Energy Management solutions. WSD ranked number 3 out of a field of 600 companies in total therms savings in two geographic areas served by PG&E. Receiving the awards was Dennis W. Mack, president of WSD. Peter Pano, past Technical Training Director of Linen Supply Association of America (LSAA, renamed TRSA), also attended the award ceremony held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Concord, California, on June 15, 2012. The awards were given to WSD because their customers installed Milnor commercial laundry equipment which substantially reduces the BTU requirements for processing linen. Despite the economic downturn, WSD delivered significant energy savings to PG&E customers with new laundry equipment.PG&E offers substantial rebates and incentives to their customers for purchasing and installing new laundry equipment that reduces utility consumption. WSD coordinates efforts to maximize utility rebates and incentives for our laundry customers.
